23 Jan 2016 Mi palabra 2016 #onelittleword
(Este post está escrito en inglés y español, scroll down for the english version)En el 2013 comencé una tradición en este blog, y se trata de elegir una palabra para que me acompañe todo el año. Les puede sonar a ejercicio de niño de escuela, pero a veces las cosas más simples y sencillas son las cosas que más funcionan.
Este movimiento de encontrar una palabra que defina el año no lo inventé yo. Su creadora Ali Edwards lo comenzó como un ejercicio personal que después lo compartió con el mundo y hoy #onelittleword tiene vida propia. Para serles honesta, no auspicio, ni sigo el movimiento de cerca, pero creo es un lindo ejercicio que sirve para definir una intención en el año. La verdad que al principio pensaba más la palabra pero últimamente “dejo que me llegue”. Así que, cuando estaba de vacaciones, se me ocurrieron algunas palabras y la ganadora se hizo evidente con el paso de los días. Ya medio que la tenía elegida cuando el universo me la confirmó.
El fin de semana pasado, me anoté en un Webminar llamado”Crazy, Sexy Miracles” con Gabrielle Bernstein y Kris Carr. Para quienes no tienen idea de lo que estoy hablando, estas dos mujeres son autoras reconocidas y oradoras en eventos alrededor del mundo, que llevan un mensaje muy lindo para las mujeres, incitándolas a encontrarse con ellas mismas, conectándose con un estilo de vida saludable y enseñándoles a encontrar equilibrio y amor en sus vidas. Crazy Sexy, Miracles, es uno de los tantos eventos que imparten e increíblemente el tema de éste encuentro fue “Cómo comprometerse con la vida y decir que sí”. 
El universo es muy creativo y tiene diferentes maneras de mostrarnos el camino, así que mi palabra 2016 que ya estaba pre-elegida quedó más que clara: COMPROMISO Carolina. Compromiso con la vida que quiero llevar, compromiso conmigo misma, comprometerme con lo que me apasiona, con lo que me gusta hacer, comprometerme con un estilo de vida saludable, creativo, inspirador. En conclusión comprometerse con el tipo de vida que quiero tener, para poder construirla paso a paso.
No sé si a alguien le puede servir este ejercicio de elegir una palabra, es muy personal, pero me gusta compartirlo con ustedes en el blog porque se ha convertido en una tradición linda que me gusta hacer. También creo que es una manera de sacarlo de mi interior, de compartirlo con el mundo y de que se convierta en una intención escrita, en algo real. Así que 2016 aunque ya comenzaste, bienvenido y como siempre vamos con todo 🙂

My #onelittleword 2016
In 2013 I started a tradition in this blog, about choosing one word to be my motto for the rest of my year. It can sound like a little childish, but I truly believe that sometimes simple things are the ones that work the better. This movement, to find a one little word that defines your year, was created by Ali Edwards that begun as a personal exercise and evolved in a movement by itself.
To be honest, I do not have anything to do with the movement but I just think is a great exercise and a lovely way to set your intentions for the year. I used to THINK a lot my word, but lately the word just comes to me, it shows itself. When I was on vacations I had a few words in my short list and then it became more and more clear that one of the words was the right one. It was yelling to me: pick me, pick me!… can you here me? And a few days later the universe just confirmed to me that that was the word.
Last Weekend, I attended a Webminar called “Crazy, Sexy Miracles” by the #spiritjunkies Gabrielle Bernstein and Kris Carr. For those of you that don´t know what I am talking about, these two pretty women are recognized authors and speakers around the world, carrying an amazing message for all women calling for their empowerment, achieveing a healthy lifestyle, being spiritually connected and finding balance and true love. They teach how to love yourself in all of its forms. Crazy Sexy Miracles, is one of many talks that they give around the world and this year´s theme was “How to show up for your life, say yes and be committed with your life”.
Believe me, the universe is very creative and it has different ways to show us the road. My word was already in my head but then it became more clear: COMMITMENT Carolina, yes! Commitment to the life I want to have, commitment with myself, commitment for what I love, to the things I enjoy doing, having a healthy lifestyle, a creative existence, an inspiring life.
I don´t know if this exercise of ONELITTLEWORD can work for everyone because it is very personal. However, I wanted to share it with you in the blog. It has become a lovely tradition and I think that sharing my word with the world is a way to make it more real. So happy new year for all of you (even if it already started) and 2016… here we come 🙂
