Vivir dos otoños y dos inviernos en un mismo año no es común.. Pero esos son los “perks” cuando uno se muda de país hacia otro hemisferio. Estoy convencida que los ciclos naturales son perfectos y que acompañan nuestros cambios, nuestro desarrollo (sin darnos cuenta). El otoño y el invierno son meses fríos, que llevan más a la introspección, a “hacernos bolita” abajo de una frazada calentita.. Y como el universo es perfecto y sabe lo que hace… es el escenario ideal de tranquilidad para la asimilación de cambios. Así que bienvenido FRÍO 😉
El otoño en el norte es muy colorido (dentro de la paleta otoñal claro). Se comen muchas cosas con jengibre, canela, pimienta y la diva de la temporada es la calabaza en todas sus variedades.. Todo es Pumpkin algo.. Aunque los días son cada vez más cortos, el calendario de actividades es bastante activo en este hemisferio.. Primero está Halloween.. con todo lo que implica, disfraces y calabazas incluidas.. y después está Thanksgiving o día de Acción de Gracias que es mañana (27 de Noviembre) donde pavo mediante y mucha comida se celebra en familia o con amigos agradeciendo lo que uno tiene. THANKSGIVING es seguido por el famoso BLACK FRIDAY (aka el día del año donde la gente es tentada por descuentos y rebajas) y todo es más barato… Todo ese preámbulo de actividades para esperar ahí si el comienzo del invierno con el evento del año: NAVIDAD

FALL IN THE NORTH.. Living two autumns and two winters in one year is not common .. But those are the perks when someone moves away to the other hemisphere. I am convinced that natural cycles are perfect and it encompasses our changes, our development (even if we don´t realize it). Fall and winter are the coldest months of the year so they are perfect for introspection. And because the universe is perfect and knows his stuff … it’s the ideal scenario of tranquility for assimilation of changes. Soo cold you are welcome;)
Autumn in the north is very colorful (even talking about fall colors). Here is tradition to eat many things with ginger, cinnamon, pepper and the diva of the season is the Pumpkin in all of its varieties .. Everything is Pumpkin something, pumpkin latte, pumpkin pie, pumpkin candle, whatever you ask, you shall receive .. Although the days are getting shorter, the schedule of activities is quite active in this hemisphere. First is HALLOWEEN .. with all that entails, including costumes and pumpkins .. and then is THANKSGIVING (November 27, tomorrow!) a tradition that invites people to give thanks for what they have and families and friends celebrate together with plenty of food and of course “turkey”. THANKSGIVING is followed by the famous BLACK FRIDAY aka the day of the year where people are tempted by discounts and everything is cheaper … Shopping MADNESS. All this preamble of activities to wait for “the” event of the year: CHRISTMAS.
